New learning experience: Hacky Hours!

Hacky Hour coworking and peer-learning sessions are designed to provide a space and time for data enthusiasts to focus on their projects and commit to building their data skills.

How it works:
Each session takes place online and lasts 90 min. It follows the same structure each time: 1. Introductions and group-building for focused work or peer-learning (5-10 min), 2. Coworking session in groups (focused work or peer-learning, 75 min), and 3. Wrap-up and progress reflections (5 min).

Why take part?
Hacky Hours are ideal for anyone seeking a burst of productivity in a structured, yet flexible environment. Early Career Researchers profit from sharing and growing their data skills in a supportive, interdisciplinary community.

Certificate of Advanced Studies

The U Bremen Research Alliance has elevated the interdisciplinary training program for research data management and data science "Data Train" to the next level. From 2026, the program will be offered as "Data Train Advanced" in cooperation with the University of Bremen's Academy of Continuing Education and will provide a new, higher qualification certificate: the Certificate of Advanced Studies. This certificate is a significant milestone in the career of researchers and will be particularly valuable in the context of the shortage of professionals with data competencies. Read our press release for more information.

Those who do not want to commit to a certificate but still want to develop their data competencies can continue to participate in the regular training program "Data Train" which remains a free offer.

Registration for the Certificate of Advanced Studies program Data Train Advanced can be found at: https://www.uni-bremen.de/data-train-advanced
