The aim of the UBRA Meeting Point is to strengthen researchers’ sense of identification with the research network while also creating a space that encourages interaction.
BIPS is a founding member of UBRA and, since 2016, has played a key role in advancing the High Profile Area of Health Sciences as well as the topic of research data. As one of three spokespersons, Prof. Dr. Iris Pigeot heads UBRA’s flagship project “Research Data Management (RDM) and Data Science” and helped launch both the “Data Train” training program and the “Data Train Advanced” certificate program.

In the coming weeks, each of our member institutions will receive an identical version of this meeting point. This will create both a physical and symbolic point of connection – a place that makes the Alliance’s active collaboration visible.
The Meeting Point also serves as a communication channel: a QR code directs researchers to a website with information about UBRA, its programs, and the benefits it offers. In this way, the Alliance aims to further increase its visibility among researchers.
The UBRA Meeting Points consist of distinctive red wooden benches crafted in the University of Bremen’s carpentry workshop.
