Research data are the foundation of responsible science, innovation, and informed societal action. The Northwest region of Germany has established a strong research data space, which is presented here. The presentation’s goal is to provide an accessible overview of regional research data initiatives and to facilitate cross-location networking. Together, these data initiatives create reliable structures for sustainable research data management, secure data access, and cross-institutional collaboration in accordance with the FAIR principles.
