Learning German

Mobility

In Germany, there is a well-developed system of public transport. You can easily reach most destinations with the Deutsche Bahn and with S-Bahn trains, buses, streetcars and subways. In Bremen and Bremerhaven there are also well-developed bicycle paths.

The team of SeniorCitizens looks after international PhD students, researchers and their families and thus contributes to a good arrival and international science in Bremen. The "SeniorCitizens", an association of senior students at the University of Bremen, has been providing support since 2011 through divers activities such as joint trips to the North Sea, cabbage rides, coaching and help and comfort in case of homesickness.

Bremen and Bremerhaven - metropolises on river and sea. In both cities you will find a wide range of leisure and shopping opportunities. Here are some suggestions for leisure activities.

You have received notice from your employer or your employment contract is about to expire? In this case, you can register as a job seeker with the "Agentur fü Arbeit".
If you register as unemployed, you have the possibility to receive unemployment benefits from the "Agentur für Arbeit".
